In recent years Pierce has provided financing from $50 million to $200 million for oil and gas projects in Russia, the Ukraine, and Nigeria. Pierce has financed thermal and hydroelectric projects overseas in the past but is currently focusing on alternative or renewable power: wind, biomass and solar in the United States.
